Common questions

What is Break-Even ACOS?

The ACOS at which net contribution = 0. Spending more on ads than this number means you lose money on every ad-driven sale, even before factoring returns.

Why doesn't Amazon's ad console show this?

Amazon's ad console shows ACOS (ad spend / ad revenue) but doesn't know your COGS, so it can't compute Break-Even ACOS. You have to give it the COGS and fee numbers yourself.

Does this include returns?

This calculator gives the gross BE-ACOS. For returns-adjusted BE-ACOS, multiply the result by (1 โˆ’ returnRate โˆ’ unsellableRate). The full SLM dashboard applies this automatically.
