Is referral fee 13% always?
No. Amazon India referral fee ranges from 8% (consumer electronics) to 17% (apparel, accessories). Default 13% is a mid-point. Check your category's actual fee in Seller Central.
Why GST on fees?
Amazon charges 18% GST on referral, FBA and storage fees as B2B service tax. You can claim input tax credit if GST-registered, but the cash outflow happens regardless. We include it so the ROI number matches actual bank impact.
What ROI is "good" for Amazon India FBA?
Rule of thumb: 60-100% ROI on COGS = healthy. 30-60% = workable but vulnerable to fee hikes or returns spikes. Below 30% = one bad month wipes the margin. Above 100% = strong category positioning.
Does this account for Amazon Easy Ship vs FBA?
This calculator assumes FBA. For Easy Ship the FBA fee is replaced by a weight-based pick-pack fee (usually ₹40-90/unit) and you handle inventory yourself. Substitute the FBA fee field with your Easy Ship fee.
