Why include GST on courier fee?

BlueDart / EasyShip / Delhivery / Shiprocket charge 18% GST on logistics as B2B service tax. You can claim input credit if GST-registered, but the cash outflow happens regardless.

What's a "healthy" RTO % in Indian e-commerce?

Electronics + books: under 10%. Fashion + COD-heavy categories: 18-25% is typical. Above 35% = unsustainable on most price points — switch to prepaid-only or 90% advance payment.

Does Shiprocket charge differently for COD vs prepaid?

Yes. Prepaid: forward fee only. COD: forward fee + COD fee (₹25-50). RTO: separate flat fee (₹50-90). This calculator handles all three.
